Need a break? Read ⬇️
The beginning of the year and semester can seem stressful and overwhelming. Here is a list of things I do when I am stressed and hopefully they can help you too!
Put away the to-do lists and work. When it is out in plain sight, it is easy to focus on the work that needs to be done. Put it out of sight, so you can focus on something that will relax you.
Write down your thoughts and/or spend time with God. Often times I find myself bottling all of my stress, writing things down or talking with God is a great way to release all of that emotion.
Get outside. Need I say more? Fresh air is always so relaxing and we also get to enjoy God’s creation!
Turn on your favorite movie or show. This always helps me take my mind off the work that needs to be done and will give me a good laugh when I need it the most.
Reach out to friends. Similar to writing down thoughts, friends are always a great outlet. You can just talk on the phone or go do some shopping. Stepping away and being with friends is a great excuse to relax the brain.
While I know these may not all work for you, I hope that they are able to help as we continue on through the year! - Josie Einerston
